An Internet Emergency Kit

I'm a big fan of MAKE magazine, and as a web addict, I'm also always keen on finding ways to maintain connectivity. IN their recent issue, they have an "internet emergency kit" put together by NetHope. However, wearing my Ushahidi hat it becomes even more important to think of ways of maintaining internet access during emergencies. It's possible to setup your laptop as the SMS gateway using FrontlineSMS. You can sync that with an Ushahidi instance hosted elsewhere if you have an internet connection. Think of this kit as that "worst case scenario" option to do just that.
