Erik and I are excited to share the news of our TED Senior Fellowship. We are delighted to be in the company of outstanding and amazing individuals. We have met some of the other TED Fellows and we have worked with several of them in the African tech space. As senior fellows, we will attend the TED conference in CA next year, hold TEDx events in our communities, and attend an intense fellowship pre-conference. We will also be mentors to other TED fellows who join the program. We look forward to continuing the TEDxNairobi series in conjunction with TED fellowsJoshua Wanyama and Sheila Ochugboju in Nairobi. Like Erik mentioned earlier this year, Ushahidi has a little bit of TED history, as most of us met in person for the first time at TED Africa in Arusha, Tanzania back in the Summer of 2007. Ory was a speaker at TEDGlobal, her talk is posted online, Erik's talk from earlier this year is also online. Members of Ushahidi are also TED Fellows: Henry Addo, Ory Okolloh, and Soyapi Mumba. ushahidi-ted-fellows-500x375.png As part of Ushahidi we've worked with TEDIndia Fellows Gaurav Mishra (VoteReport.in) , Dr. Awab Alvi and Sean Gourley, whose talk you can view here. Amazing things happen when you bring people together.
