Happy Mid-August! In this week's report: A number of deployers are seeking help on their projects from election mapping to animal welfare. Usahhidi needs some help supporting the academics/researchers community. The next Ushahidi Community Developer chat is August 20th. The next Ushahidi Developer community call is on Monday, August 20th UTC. Join us to talk plug-in architecture, Swift River testing and Ushahidi 3.0. Open for Business: Small firms open for business during the London 2012 Games is this the Deployment of the Week. The Federation of Small Businesses used Ushahidi to garner support using social media. Congratulations to this team! Tech President included Ushahidi in their living Technology and Politics Timeline (thanks!). Many deployers have used technology for elections, including Ushahidi. If you have an example to share, add your concept to the Tech President form. Tech Politics Timeline Elections seems to be a big theme this week.
