The Tactical Technology Collective has published a booklet – Maps for Advocacy – which is an introduction to Geographical Mapping Techniques.
The booklet is a guide to using maps in advocacy, and the process is explained through case studies, descriptions of procedures and methods, a review of data sources as well as a glossary of mapping terminology. Links to resources are also provided.
NGOs and advocacy groups who are looking to explore the potential of maps to send out their message will find this to be a useful resource, and those groups who are unsure about the benefits of mapping for advocacy will find some great background information.
