Its great to see this partnership come online and we look forward to working more intensively with the team at Ushahidi.

There are so many applications for a tool as powerful as this. For example, I just came across the Niger Delta Watch, a new initiative to bring an 'under reported' region into the picture.

http://www.nigerdeltawatch.org/main

Needless to say, this is a great tool for bringing information into the picture. It is also important that we support Ushahidi as a community and in the interest to help document, aggregate and disseminate lessons learned. I think a lot can be extracted from an instance in Haiti that is again applicable elsewhere.

In terms of the I-Hub, these are exactly the type of initiatives we need if we are to incubate and develop the Ushahidi's of the future. Look forward to the opening on March 3rd!

This is extremely good stuff.

It also fascinates me how you guys manage to pull off so many different contributions from everyone. Ok, maybe because there's a funding for Ushahidi and you got the right ppl like Patrick, but all these contributors at the school? Awesome. Who would have known where post election violence in Kenya could end up? From a crisis to a chance. About time that a video journalist covers this!

And then the iHub which seems to be a self-starter. How many times do we see ppl working for a common goal with such passion? In Kenya?

I wonder how our fellow brothers in diaspora think about this & the "can do" proof of Ushahidi.
